Some thoughts on talent.

Friday, January 30th, 2009

I can’t sing and I can’t dance. Further, I have a strong dislike of most all cats. If I have any talent in this world, and I readily concede I may not—aside from discipline, it is the keen ability to recognize genius in its many forms. And perhaps madness as well. I think we all possess some form of genius, and, I suppose, madness.

So, my unsolicited advice for today is: follow yours, wherever it may lead.

Note to desperate ho-moaners.

Really, I’ve had quite enough of this. It’s going on two years already. It’s not cute or savvy. It’s not an enticing lure. It’s just plain stupid.

If you’re stucco crapbox were truly priced “below market value,” it wouldn’t be on the market. It would have sold. That’s the definition of market value. It’s what clears at the market.

So, get your head out of your rearview mirror. Stop confusing your fantasy, based on what your crapbox may have sold for at the peak of the mania or the swill some jackball appraiser is feeding you, with the reality of what it will sell for now.

Cut your losses. Get over it. Move on.

Countdown to the Infatuation.
