Two of the stupidest economic policies in recent memory.
Friday, June 15th, 2007Stupid policy #1:
Government incentives/mandates for corn-based ethanol production. This is driving up the price of agricultural commodities accross the board. Just wait until this Fall when you will be slammed at the supermarket, that is if you purchase items containing grains, meat, or dairy. (Is there anyone who doesn’t?)
Stupid policy #2:
Growing protectionism toward China. As one of our largest creditors, the Chinese hold our future in their hands. The pinhead politicians have no idea what they’re doing. We do not hold the cards here. Our endless debt binge has ensured that.
