The world is controlled by two groups of people consisting of well-connected, irrationally (read “delusionally”) self-confident/self-righteous, often ostensibly “well-meaning,” generally myopic ignorants and power-obsessed, cold-blooded, sociopathic schemers. Note, these groups are not mutually exclusive.
Makes for a pleasant journey, doesn’t it.

I think it’s silly. Why kill it? BP or another company should proceed as originally planned, drilling the well, making the oil available for sale. We’re running out, aren’t we.
Why kill a well? Sentimentality? Populist (read “idiot”) furor and clamoring? Accidents happen. Get over it. As Mel Tormé sang so beautifully, “Take a deep breath, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.”
Killing the well is how a loser and quitter would resolve the situation. And so. That is what we’ve become.
Grain price rise may fuel Mideast, Europe unrest
This is stupid. No one needs to be eating grain, wheat, in particular. Generally, people would be healthier without it.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t carry all this in one trip. But it’s fun to think about.
The entire world is being unthought and all knowledge is at war with itself. The evolution of truth? Itself a moving target?
Who’s to say that what’s left standing, if anything, will have any correlation with it?

Ironic. We’d been mulling limitations on CNN for some time. Then decided they’re unnecessary given its increasing irrelevance.
